Technique courses

  • Progression

Suitable for people who feel comfortable on blue and easier red boulders (≤6a) and working on red+ and breaking into the black tape problems for the first time (6a+ - 6b)

A four week fundamental course for anyone who hasn’t had coaching before and/or wants to understand the foundations of good technique and start mastering the skill aspect of climbing. We will touch on a few training fundamentals as well.

    Dates:

Tuesdays. Returning in fall. Please pre-sign up to guarantee your spot!

  • Progression +

Suitable for people who feel comfortable up to easy black tape boulders (≤6b+) and working on harder black tapes and breaking into the white tape problems (6c - 6c+)

This course dives into a broad range of climbing technique so is perfect for those who have had some coaching or progressed with friends for a number of years and need to break through this typical grade plateau. I will also introduce some effective supplementary training exercises and theories.

    Dates:

Thursdays. Returning in fall. Please pre-sign up to guarantee your spot!

  • Advanced

Suitable for people who feel comfortable up to white tape boulders (≤7a). This is also suitable if you are not quite at this level yet but you have completed the progression plus course already!

Unless you have had coaching before or are quite experienced already, I would advise most people to take the progression plus course first. The advanced course will challenge your climbing technique from every angle and provide a solid basis for advanced self-analysis.
